The Topography of the Peasants Revolt 1525 in the duchy Wuerttemberg

The main focus of the "Jerg Ratgeb" Project was given on the complex social movements in the 15th and 16th century. These contemporary movements mark a time of upheaval which has been methodically consolidated and presented on two CDs.
The first CD is dedicated to the choir of the collegiate church at Herrenberg. The user is able to get an impression of the interaction between space, choir stalls and altar piece. The visualisation of this story has been compiled and developed by an interdisciplinary group of art historians, architects, historians and information scientists at the Universities Stuttgart and Tübingen and at the Fraunhofer Institute Stuttgart.
The second CD allows an insight into the events of the peasant war in the duchy Wuerttemberg and presents Jerg Ratgeb's part in it. The new media creates a vision of the time between the middle-ages and a new epoch.
By using of modern author ware it is shown the animated trial of the peasants through the dutchy on a three-dimensional model. This is visualized by many hundreds of authentic source documents.
Both CDs work with all possibilities of the medium: video, sound, animation, simulation as well as text and picture.
Keywords: Multimedia, 3D Reconstruction
