State of advance in using computer methods in polish archaeology

Nowadays archaeology in Poland is turning into using computer techniques in archaeology.
This situation arise from more available hardware, software and noticing advantages of using machine in archaeologist's workshop.
In this paper I'd like to present state of advance of utilization computational methods in polish archaeology, basing on my master's thesis: "Using computer techniques in archaeology", written in Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology at Nicolai Copernici University in Torun / Poland in December 2002.
In my work I focused on solutions based on PC / Windows platform.
1. I'd like to present polish scientific organizations which are experienced with creating using computational solutions, like: databases, visualizations, geophysical prospection, aerial photography, GIS, 3D documentation;
2. I'd like to present and characterize polish software being used;
3. I'd like enumerate international projects that polish institutions took and take part;
4. Finally I'd like to summary state of advance in using computer methods in polish archaeology, comparing with last ten years.
Key words: Poland, polish, advance, methods, state
