Minding the Minning

Data Minning experiences are relatively recent. In this paper we intend to discuss the possibility's and advantages of this technique applied to archaeology.
To explore this thematic we will explore a large database built up for the research of the Castelo Velho. This database is linked with a GIS and has more than 15.000 ceramics. What we intended to know were trends in this ceramics, either geo-spatial has formal. Which is the better method for the data-minning of this database? Should we ever mind in executing data-minning. Does it answer question and/or does it raises new problems? And what about geospatial data-mining? Is it possible?
Key words: Data Minning, Statistic Analysis, ArqueHorFren, Pre-historic Monument
